Woman Accused of Using Daughter in Drug Deal
Lacrecia White (33) of Coralville, IA (I know what you’re thinking and no, it’s not a disease, that’s actually her name…) must have missed the memo that fast food joints are for picking up the rare treat for the kiddos. Instead, she thinks they are a convenient place to do a little business. Drug business. (That’s my best James Bond impression. I know, not great but I work with what I got.) While yes, this is certainly illegal that’s not what lands her here. White was not working alone, she brought along a gopher, her 6-year-old daughter.
It seems mommy dearest went to a local fast-food restaurant to meet a customer who was waiting to buy a gram of heroin. She pulled up but gosh, it must have sounded like a lot of work to haul her ass up out of the car to run in and fetch her own customer so she sent her daughter in to find him and have him come out to the car. As well thought out of a plan as this was, turns out drug users aren’t always the most trustworthy of folks. Her customer turned out to be a confidential informant working for the police. Thankfully the police were waiting for her and she was arrested and has been charged with using a minor in a drug trade, child endangerment with no injury and a felony controlled-substance violation.
There are no details about the child’s whereabouts but I think it’s safe to assume that White does not currently have custody since she is in jail pending posting of $22,500 bond. Here’s hoping this little girl knows that fast-food restaurants are for nuggets of chicken, not heroin.
